Stageberry was created to share my thoughts on the various shows I see. It's designed so you can easily get to the point of each review without having to read paragraphs of my life story.
Please note: I am NOT a professional critic. Art is an opinion, and it's okay if you don't agree with mine. I hope you enjoy this site!
I try to use rating parameters that will give an overall clear image of what you can expect when you see a show. Here are the categories I use:

I try to use rating parameters that will give an overall clear image of what you can expect when you see a show. Here are the categories I use:
Story
Can I follow the plot? Does it develop throughout the play? Is it engaging? Is it written in a way that it's exciting to watch, rather than predictable? If the show is based on a movie, how closely does the show resemble movie?
Character Development
Are characters changing throughout the story? Is it in a way that the audience can understand and follow? Is it believable? Is it cliche? Are the characters compelling, interesting, and engaging?
Theme
What is the main idea of the show? Is it easy to figure out? Or, are there so many ideas that the main idea gets mixed in and isn't clear?
Sound & Music
Is the music deafening? Is it so loud I can't hear the lyrics? Does it make the story better? Do background noises enhance or detract from the actors dialogue?
Audience Impact/Spectacle
Will it be something I'll remember? Will I want to tell other people about it and get other people to see it? Basically, will it be worth my time? Plays are distinctly different than stories because they need to be seen to be fully experienced.
Miscellaneous
Occasionally, there will be an additional topic that's not covered in the other categories. This is a catch-all category for any additional criteria I want to discuss for a specific show that does not fit into the other categories.
